Indus Valley people use some tools such as hammers, knives, needles, fish-hooks, axes, razors and saws to work. Most Indus tools are made of a hard grey rock called flint. The metal Indus Valley people use most is copper. Indus people also mix copper and tin to make bronze.
Workers do different jobs. For example, some workers make stone querns (grinding grain to make flour). Others weave cotton into clothes and cotton bags. City workers make beads, fishing nets, pots, baskets and everything else people need. Children learn the work-skills from their families. Other jobs found in the civilization are scribes, builders, merchants and shopkeepers.
